XP 4: What types of instruments and interfaces can I make?

This playlist focuses on just getting started creating instruments and interfaces. Later on, you will have the chance to choose whether you want to create an acoustic instrument with recycled materials, or an electronic instrument with a Makey Makey or Arduino. 

In the meantime, it helps to get some ideas of what you could eventually create with some of the skills you are developing in this playlist. 

Think About

• What kind of instrument or interface do I want to create?
• What ideas can I borrow from other people?
• Where can I go for inspiration in creating an instrument or interface?

Get Started

Look at all the cool instruments and interfaces that people make! You can use these examples as ideas or inspiration for your own project!

To complete the XP, do the following:

1. Choose one or two of the instruments or interfaces with the type label “acoustic” that interests you.

2. Choose one or two of the instruments or interfaces with the type label either “digital” or “electric analog” that interests you.
